Kids Love Painting on Rocks

If you want to find a fun way to spend the day with your kids, try painting rocks.

Kids love painting on rocks because they simply can't make a mistake, if they don't like what they paint on a rock, you can simply wash it off and start over.

It's a fun way to spend a summer afternoon, or a rainy day for that matter.  Go rock hunting on a nice day, purchase some paints, and set up a little table in your yard, they will have so much fun.

You can paint one, too... the sky is the limit to what can be painted on a rock.  Just look at these happy faces...

To decide what to paint on your rock, look at the shape.  Round or oval rocks would make adorable ladybugs or minions...

And wouldn't Grandma just love the painting below for her garden?

A flatter rock or piece of slate that is wide at the top with a tapering bottom would make a beautiful flower bouquet...

This is a rock I painted based on Lin Wellford's book
Hand-Painting Flowers on Rocks

Halloween is on its way...

It's a fun hobby and activity for the whole family...

and remember...

Be creative, and be happy!
